World Food Day Activities

16th October 2024

At Busy Things, we host a variety of World Food Day activities that will teach children about the food they eat and help them gain an awareness of the people who produce it. Our fun labelling activities will challenge them to work out where our fruit, cocoa, tea and coffee are grown.

Use this oven-simulating widget to experiment with over and undercooking foods, and seeing the result, without the dangers or waste of using a real oven. Set the temperature and the time and click 'Cook it' to start. When it has finished cooking, touch 'Eat it' and see what the monster's reaction is! Can you predict the temperatures and times that will produce perfectly cooked results?
